I have an unhealthy obsession with small American trainer brands, and Opie Way have been on my radar for what feels like forever. Anyway, the people at Opie Way don’t just make wonderful shoes that can be repaired, they rebuilt their factory from scratch after Hurricane Helene swept it away in 2024. I know how it goes. You can’t be bothered looking for new music, as there seems to be so much of it all the time and you don’t know where to look. The whole ‘abundance is erasure’ argument coming to the fore and all that. Anyway, if you need something good to listen to that will uplift and even make you dance a bit, Grace Ives has created something for your summer barbecue and beyond. Even my dad likes it. Marseille Third Shirt – Long Sleeves
I think this will end up being one of the most underrated shirts of the year. Lavender in Provence is like pints in Accy… abundant. Anyway, a beautiful shirt, campaign and, obviously, better in long sleeves. Imagine buying a short-sleeved football shirt. Available here.
Tony’s Chocolonely White Chocolate Bar
Tony’s is a Dutch brand and, for some unknown reason, this is only available in the US. An absolute tour de force! If you know someone in the US, get them to stock up!
Sergio Tacchini – Crochet Short set
Here in the lovely UK, we love a bit of Sergio, but in certain parts of New York, they REALLY love it. It’s the whole melting pot of cultures, Biggie Smalls wore it, and the sportswear thing that New York does so well. Anyway, this set is literally perfection and it makes me want to walk around a trainer shop in Brooklyn whilst on my phone, speaking Spanish, breaking away for a second, walking through the door screaming, “GIMME A PAIR OF WHITE UPS, 11. I’M WALKIN’ HERE.” Oh, to dream. Get yours here from New York obviously.
