TRiCKETT Slippers
Blackpool Sea
AVAILABLE IN
TRiCKETT slippers are one of my favourite things. Not because they look ace, not because they’re super warm and not because of their hard sole. Oh no! It’s because they were the first item we ever made that almost started an online riot…
Our slippers are made for us in Somerset by master slipper stitcher Phil and his team. These trotter covers are made in the traditional English way, using moccasin construction. That means there’s a lovely toe seam and not much else as regards stitching. They’re made from suede with a super-plush wool lining that is warm, soft and just a joy to walk on. Like a sheepy cloud.
We almost didn’t get the opportunity to make these when our friend Pat retired from the slipper-making game, but fortunately Phil heard our cries and came to our rescue.
What makes our slippers a little different is the hard sole. This means you can run outside to put the bins out in the rain, chase after the dog in the back garden or run after the delivery van when you hear a knock at the door and you’re in the shower… just remember to put some clothes on.
These slippers come in our classic navy blue which we call Blackpool sea. It is a bit weird to see these back out in the world after I resigned myself to the fact that we would never sell them again, but here we are. Life eh?
The slippers are then finished with a bow and the TRiCKETT flag label to the side. I don’t want to mention it… but Christmas is on the way soon, and these would make a wonderful gift for you… or someone else… but mostly for you. They come in UK full sizes and if you’re a half size, we recommend going up to the nearest full size. So, if you’re a UK 9.5, go for a UK 10.
As a sizing note, if you have a wide foot or plan on wearing these with socks, we recommend going up a full size. They’re super thick and fluffy inside, so they can feel a bit snug at first, but the wool soon compacts down for a lovely cosy fit.
Relaxation is just a few clicks away.
