The Work Shirt is inspired by a shirt worn by Pablo during his stay at La Galloise, a villa in Vallauris, France. We released checked versions of the Galloise shirt last summer and they were so popular we decided to do a winter version in a lovely washed chambray.
The work shirt is made from a mid-weight chambray that can be dressed up or down depending on your mood / the length of your trousers. Chambray can at times feel a little rough and heavy, but this particular cloth is softer and lighter than most chambray fabrics and has had an extra wash to make it feel like you have had it for years.
There are two flapped pockets to the front and the collar is a slightly bigger size to make your head look a little smaller and to make the overall proportions of the shirt look better. It was once cool to look like an indie singer from the mid ’00s, but those tiny collars only ever made you look like a lollipop…
The hem is curved and uses the same shape as our Ivy shirts, however, these are just a little trimmer, so if you have one of those you may want to consider going up a size if you want the same room across the chest and shoulders. The sleeves are buttoned and even have a lovely extra button on the sleeve placket should you want to roll the sleeves up to just above the wrist.
Should you want to take your shirt off to do some extra work, or are just planning a dip in the sea on your lunch break, there is a locker loop at the back of the shirt so that you don’t get any nasty creases whilst you’re not wearing it. Talking of buttons, ours are mother of pearl and all natural. No weird polyester buttons for us, oh no!
Our shirts are expertly made in Portugal by Anabela, Antonio and the team, who make shirts for some of the biggest names in the business. The details and finish on these beauties really are second to none and this is something that you will enjoy wearing time and time again.

All orders are packed by us in house and sent from our HQ here in Accrington. If you spend £75 or more then, postage is on us, because we like you. Next Working Day is Monday - Friday only. If your order is placed after 12PM on a Friday or over the weekend this will be dispatched on the next working day and due for the delivery the following working day after that.
Customers have 14 days from the day they receive their parcel to return it back to us. To be refundable, all products must be completely unworn and unwashed, and must be returned in their original condition. All international orders are final, no refunds, exchanges or credit notes.
