My mum is a proud McGregor, so this scarf is a little nod to her and the Scottish branch of the family. Naming things after footballers is all well and good, but it’s probably time Mum got a look in.
Made in Scotland from 100% pure new wool, it comes in the McGregor tartan, with red and green checks crossed by fine white lines. A lovely bit of colour to poke out of a winter coat, and equally at home with a navy jumper and whatever jacket you’ve left by the door.
The cloth is woven at a family-owned mill in Selkirk, in the Scottish Borders. Established in 1975 by a textile designer who began making handwoven ties while studying in London, the mill went on to produce fabrics for the likes of Vivienne Westwood and Christian Dior. When its founder retired, the family behind our scarves bought the mill, keeping its looms running and its weaving skills in Scotland. It still produces their tartans today.
Pure new wool means wool that hasn’t previously been used or recycled. Warm, useful and something to bring out every autumn when you remember that leaving the house involves weather.
You don’t need to be a McGregor to wear one. Though I suspect my mum would consider it a very sensible choice.

Next Working Day is Monday - Friday only. If your order is placed after 12PM on a Friday or over the weekend this will be dispatched on the next working day and due for the delivery the following working day after that.
Customers have 14 days from the day they receive their parcel to return it back to us. To be refundable, all products must be completely unworn and unwashed, and must be returned in their original condition. All international orders are final, no refunds, exchanges or credit notes.
