When we first released our Paulie tracksuit, I got my pal Peter O’Toole to draw a promo advert for it. After we posted it, about 30 people emailed us asking if we’d ever make prints of the illustration, so in typical TRiCKETT style we went HUGE.
The prints have been hand screen-printed by our mate Jim in Huddersfield. Screen printing is the proper way to reproduce artwork like this, each colour is printed separately by hand, rather than just sending a file through a digital printer. We wanted these to feel like proper prints, so naturally we got Jim to do the business.
It’s a two-colour A3 print on some wonderful Fabriano Rosaspina paper, made in Italy, in their white colour. See, I told you we don’t mess about. Even the paper is made somewhere decent. As if that wasn’t enough, every print has been individually signed and numbered by Peter on what was possibly the wettest day I have ever experienced in Huddersfield.
There are just 50 of them. Once they’re gone, they’re gone, we won’t be printing another edition. So, if you want Paulie Walnuts staring disapprovingly at you from the wall of your house, hop to it… who knows, with this people may think you are indeed an interior decorator… rather than working for the Interior Ministry.
And make sure you get a decent frame.
