Alambra is proper everyday Neapolitan coffee. Strong, dark, straightforward and very good at getting the day started.
Made in Naples by Passalacqua, it’s a traditional blend of Arabica and Robusta coffees, dark roasted for plenty of body and that unmistakable southern Italian flavour. Expect a rich, intense cup with plenty of dark chocolate and toasted notes, a little bitterness and a good caffeine kick.
There’s nothing particularly fancy going on here, and that’s rather the point. Stick it in the moka pot, put it on the stove and a few minutes later you’ve got a proper strong Italian coffee. It also stands up brilliantly to milk if that’s your thing.
Passalacqua have been roasting coffee in Naples since 1948, so they know a thing or two about keeping people sufficiently caffeinated.
250g brick of ground coffee. Yes, we’re calling it a brick. Perfect for a moka pot.
