Every now and again, two proper legends from the world of workwear put their heads together and make something special. That’s exactly what happened when our pals Le Laboureur and Le Minor got chatting. Two great French brands, two different skill sets, one shared mission… make a jacket that tips its cap to the graft of French carpenters, roofers and builders… but still looks absolutely magic when you’re nowhere near a construction site.
They came up with this belter, inspired by the traditional coltin jacket, the no-nonsense style worn by tradesmen across France for generations, this number is made from proper high-quality moleskin cotton. Tough enough for hard work, clean enough in its lines to wear with your best jeans, and classic enough that it’ll still look good in twenty years’ time. It’s that perfect straight cut, practical, unfussy and ready for whatever life throws at it. This isn’t a surface-level collab, it grew out of a genuine back-and-forth between two workshops who know exactly what they’re doing.
Le Laboureur brought their decades of workwear know-how and Le Minor reworked the design using their favourite fabric and incredible finishing. Two great sets of people, one jacket and not a single compromise on function, fit or heritage.
The result is an iconic piece of 100% French-made goodness: technical, elegant, timeless and built to be worn… not kept in a wardrobe. Whether you’re up a ladder, on a long walk, or just popping down town for your tea, this jacket will see you right.
