I first saw big Pablo wearing this sweatshirt a few years ago and I became a bit obsessed by how a seemingly old bloke could look so incredibly cool in a sweatshirt and cords, but as we all know by now, that is because he is Pablo. So at the end of last year I decided that I wanted to create this sweatshirt down to the last detail, so I did… and made a few improvements.
A TRiCKETT sweatshirt wouldn’t be a TRiCKETT sweatshirt without a hefty, bulky fabric and so that is what I have done with this. It is a robust 495gsm fabric which has been garment washed for extra softness and to make it look like you have had it for decades. The most notable thing about the sweatshirt was that it had a particularly long V-insert that we replicated on this sweatshirt and I genuinely think it adds a degree of elegance that I haven’t really seen on a sweatshirt before.
The story goes that this sweatshirt was either given to Pablo by a fisherman in Vallauris or, I also heard that it was given to him by a friend who was a chartreuse distiller and so the sweatshirt was stained with green. The original photos indicate that this sweatshirt was a cream/beige sort of colour, but I couldn’t resist making a green one that gave a knowing nod to my favourite sport.
The ‘Groundsman Green’ colour is inspired by the lines on football pitches and the incredibly talented ground staff who put them there. Whether it’s your local Sunday League or the World Cup final, the lines are what make it a football match. So I decided to pay homage to them with this green version with white stitching to represent markings on the pitch.
The sweatshirt has a ribbed neck, cuffs and hem and has triple needle stitching throughout for extra toughness. The tops are then finished with our Trickasso logo labels on the left hand side for a little bit of excitement and so that when you see someone wearing this you can give them a knowing nod. The sweatshirts are made in Portugal by Filipe and his expert team of sewers and knitters, who are some of the best on the planet. Quality is their highest priority, meaning that you receive something beautifully made that will last for years… there’s a video all about them below.

All orders are packed by us in house and sent from our HQ here in Accrington. If you spend £75 or more then, postage is on us, because we like you. Next Working Day is Monday - Friday only. If your order is placed after 12PM on a Friday or over the weekend this will be dispatched on the next working day and due for the delivery the following working day after that.
Customers have 14 days from the day they receive their parcel to return it back to us. To be refundable, all products must be completely unworn and unwashed, and must be returned in their original condition. All international orders are final, no refunds, exchanges or credit notes.
