Things I Liked This Week

October 19, 2025

Story Mfg – Research Jacket

Anything with massive pockets always appeals to me and the pockets are so big on this that you can store a laptop in them… genuinely. Story Mfg are one of the good guys too. Available here.

Olympique de Marseille Coffee Cups

For the avoidance of doubt, I do not need anymore coffee cups, however, these may well be a new favourite that I will be asking Father Christmas for. Available here.

St. Palo – Palo Santo wood burner

I have had one of these for about 5 years and I always end up giving them as gifts to people that I like and people that really need to chill out… which is probably me. Anyway, these beautiful burners are made in the UK, look great and gives the impression that you have some taste. Available here.

Paul Smith Loves Barbour – Bedale

Will it be made in the north-east? (this is a pre-requisite for me to buy any Barbour) No. Do I need another Barbour? No. Is it in any way, shape or form practical for British weather? No. Will I be wearing this when the mighty Harrogate roll into the Crown ground on Boxing Day? Yes. Available wherever you get your jackets from.

D’angelo – Voodoo

D'Angelo - Voodoo - Vinyl Merchandise - Zavvi UK

After his untimely passing this week, I was listening to this album again and realised just how incredibly talented a musician that D’angelo is. A once in a generation voice, with a once in a generation album. Get some rest D’angelo, you will be sorely missed. Available at all good record shops.
