When you are waltzing around saying that you make the perfect t-shirt, you need some receipts to back that up and that is why I am going to tell you in minute detail as to why we think we have made the perfect t-shirt. If you are of a trusting / impatient disposition, feel free just to click add to basket.
So, the first thing with any perfect t-shirt is the fabric and by jingo have we made a hefty fabric. Our tops are made from a cotton that comes from North Carolina, even when it is still on the plant it is robust and heavy… that’s even before we have started making anything from it. The cotton is then spun and knit into fabric in the jersey capital of the world, Porto, Portugal, where our super beefy 310gsm fabric is created. Sometimes numbers don’t mean anything, but this is about as heavy as you can go before you start making a sweatshirt. Think rugby shirt fabric that has been doing weights in the gym and doesn’t skip leg day… that is how heavy this fabric is.
So the main ingredient is ready, now we need a good shape and fit details. I always think that a perfect t-shirt needs a bit of movement and not to be tight to you. Equally, you need it to have some shape so as not to look like an early ’00s rapper. As you can see in the fit photos of Luca (he is wearing a medium like always) the fit is slightly off the body but by no means baggy… aka the perfect fit for a super heavy t-shirt.
I am not a fan of gapey necks, I think the higher a neck on a t-shirt, the easier it is for you to dress it up and not look like a bassist in a post-punk band. Our neck is high and bound using the same fabric as the t-shirt, this is because when we made rib for the neck it was so heavy it was like wearing a gold chain. 2022 has been the year of minimal branding for us and that is why we have added a super subtle ‘T’ to the bottom left of the t-shirt, so only you and people in the know get it.
The final part of an ace t-shirt is a quirk that no other t-shirt has and that is our ‘T’-pit protector. This ‘T’-shaped panel under the armpits comes pre-laundered and is ever so slightly lighter than the rest of the t-shirt. This has a natural additive in the cotton that stops you from smelling (it’s good but not a miracle worker, still wear deodorant) and prevents yellowing, meaning that you can wear this t-shirt again and again without having yellowing pits. It also does an amazing job of collecting and storing moisture as I found out when trekking around London a few days ago. Magic.
There are loads of brands who claim to have created the perfect t-shirt but they don’t come close to what we have achieved. These tees are the culmination of over ten years of research and dedication. We have, quite literally, seen it, done it, bought the t-shirt, to bring you the best we can possibly make. For £31, there isn’t a t-shirt out there that will last you as long as this. To keep you fully stocked up we also have an introductory deal on for 3 for £75.
These are all I wear now, been there, done that, made the t-shirt.
