At some workplaces, I imagine the first thing you do is have a cup of tea, turn on your computer / charge up your tools / start the engine and get to work. However, here at TRiCKETT, almost every day starts with me burning some incense and setting the tone for the day with a great scent, before we begin packing parcels and watching free-kick compilations.

Anyway, this year we got in touch with our mates in Virginia and asked if we could stock their incense for the coming season and luckily for you, they said yes. Each batch of incense is made in their studio and blended to a supremely high standard, each one of these smells like a story and just seems to get better and better with every minute of burning… unlike my stories.

We have selected four scents which will make your space smell wonderful and they are:

Smoked Fig – This does what it says on the tin and if you like fig scents, you’ll like this. This is my favourite because it lingers for ages and smells fantastic. Notes of cardamom, white pepper, fig leaves, sandalwood, cedar wood, and smoked amber.

Golden Cedar – Warm cedar wood, sweet dried fruit, cedar leaf, and nutmeg on top of a sweet base of rich amber. This scent is basically like how you imagine those ’90s American films to smell like when they are burning marshmallows on the fire before the monster jumps out of the trees and gets them… or maybe that is just the type of films that I watch…

Great North Woods – When you first get these you will think they smell a bit like a traditional ‘woody’ incense, but when you burn them, you will think you’re a lumberjack in the middle of winter having a nice coffee break. Notes of green fir needle, cold crisp mountain air, and distant smoke. Inspired by walking through the forest on a cold winters day.

Big Sur – This smells like sitting on the beach on a beautiful spring day. A mixture of Cedar, Sandalwood, Musk, Smoke and Sea Salt Air, this evokes memories of driving down the coast with the windows down. Breathing in the fresh ocean air, mixed with trees and campfires.  Sounds good to me.

Each tin contains 30 cones with a burn time of about 20 minutes and a 3-4 hour lingering time, so you can impress your pals with your excellent taste in scent. The cones are hand-dipped in the USA and come in a sleek black tin which you can use for burning the cones on if you don’t have a suitable incense tray.
