Our mates at Le Minor have been making nautical garments for a very long time and so we decided to get in the most iconic of all their garments and so here we have the Breton sweater. These beauties have been adorning naval officers and fashionistas alike for decades now and because I appear to be in a bit of a French mood at the moment it only made sense to get these in.
The Breton sweater is the original base layer in that they are worn close to the body and under coats and other layers to keep you nice and snug. The yarn is a very typical virgin wool which is unusual in that it isn’t very itchy at all, but it is usual in that it is exceptionally warm. The neck on the jumper is very typical in that it is nice and high to keep the chill off and there are buttons to the side for you to adjust to a custom fit. There is very little information as to why these lovely buttons exist, but I am just going to go with it is because they mean you can get it over your head when it comes time to take it off/ put it on, such is the height of the neck.
This jumper comes in the very classic navy and ecru, which is about as essential a wardrobe staple as it gets. Throw it on under loads of layers in winter and wear it as the top layer in the warmer months. People will offer your glasses of wine and ask for your relationship advice because you look that cool.
The cuffs of the jumper are ribbed, but the hem is not as they were originally designed for you to tuck them in. I definitely recommend taking a size up from your usual size or even two if you like things to be a little looser. Currently we only have these in stock in XXL (Size 5, 21″ pit to pit, but there is loads of stretch!!!), but more are on the way.

All orders are packed by us in house and sent from our HQ here in Accrington. Next Working Day is Monday - Friday only. If your order is placed after 12PM on a Friday or over the weekend this will be dispatched on the next working day and due for the delivery the following working day after that.
Customers have 14 days from the day they receive their parcel to return it back to us. To be refundable, all products must be completely unworn and unwashed, and must be returned in their original condition. All international orders are final, no refunds, exchanges or credit notes.
