When the weather starts to turn, I always look forward to wearing more hats and this year we have gone for something extra special! The ‘Palpaca’ hats are designed to take you from working outside, to the match, to the pub and anywhere else in between, whilst keeping your head nice and warm in the process.
This season, we did some actual scientific research into which rib and yarn combinations help to keep your cranium toasty. We found that a 2×1 rib (that means that the main rib is twice as big as the gap between each rib), made from our beautiful alpaca and wool blend (exclusive to us and that is why we call it Palpaca), works the best. Alpaca and wool are great for many reasons but for me it is the fact that it is a natural, biodegradable and insulating yarn that still hasn’t been bettered by modern technology… in my opinion.
This particular hat comes in our ‘Accy Sky’ colour which as many of you TRiCKETT fans know is the colour that I see in the sky of my beloved home town maybe 90% of the time. Grey around these parts is familiar and homely in a weird sort of way. Why you should like grey is because it goes with everything and makes any outfit just a little better.
The hats are made in the Midlands by Stuart and his whom we have been working with since 2012. What Stuart doesn’t know about knitwear really isn’t worth knowing. The hats are finished with a TRiCKETT ‘Taking Cairn of Business’ label with the logo on the front and word mark to the back. The labels are made in Nelson, Lancashire and are manufactured from cotton, which is biodegradable.
A toasty hat in a great colour, with a bit of science sprinkled in for good measure. That’ll do me.

All orders are packed by us in house and sent from our HQ here in Accrington. Next Working Day is Monday - Friday only. If your order is placed after 12PM on a Friday or over the weekend this will be dispatched on the next working day and due for the delivery the following working day after that.
Customers have 14 days from the day they receive their parcel to return it back to us. To be refundable, all products must be completely unworn and unwashed, and must be returned in their original condition. All international orders are final, no refunds, exchanges or credit notes.
