I have worn and made a few pairs of socks in my time. I have had really good ones, I have had bang-average ones and, let’s face it, everyone has had really awful ones. However, our Golden Era socks are about as close to sock perfection as we can get.
Our socks pay homage to the socks worn by American sports stars and college students in the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. The socks were always off-white, with coloured stripes across the top for the team or college that they represented. These socks are always seen peeping out from a pair of loafers or jeans on those amazing fashion photos from the era.
Our socks are made in Scotland by the lovely Steve in a shed (genuinely). Each pair passes through his hands for him to approve. No mass-making poor quality stuff for us. Oh no! Our socks are made from a really bouncy, fluffy and comfortable yarn that Steve then turns into wonderful socks. They feature a hefty, cushioned sole, a compression strap so that your socks don’t slip down and a ribbed leg for a comfortable fit.
For the final sock release of 2024, we decided to move away from our usual ecru and create a host of festive-inspired socks in brighter colours and here is the Acid Reflux version. We all know what it’s like, too much cake, turkey, sausage, nut roast, Benedictine and more cake creates a bit of a fiasco in your tummy. As a result we all end up reaching for the famous pink and turquoise bottle to calm our acidic bellies. So that is why I created the ‘Acid Reflux’ socks inspired by the wonderful colours of a belly calming remedy. Pink, turquoise and white. What more do you need? Apart from more pigs in blankets?
If you fancy stocking up on golden era or wool socks, you can mix and match any three pairs for just £30, sounds good to me… and your feet.

All orders are packed by us in house and sent from our HQ here in Accrington. Next Working Day is Monday - Friday only. If your order is placed after 12PM on a Friday or over the weekend this will be dispatched on the next working day and due for the delivery the following working day after that.
Customers have 14 days from the day they receive their parcel to return it back to us. To be refundable, all products must be completely unworn and unwashed, and must be returned in their original condition. All international orders are final, no refunds, exchanges or credit notes.
