FIRSTLY, WE RECOMMEND SIZING DOWN ON THESE SWEATSHIRTS IF YOU DESIRE A TRIMMER FIT/ WANT IT TO LOOK LIKE AN ORIGINAL SUPER HEAVY SWEATSHIRT. If not and you’d like it to fit a little looser, go for your normal size.

Our Deco sweatshirt is a new addition to the TRiCKETT lineup, inspired by watching the great Portuguese midfielder give an interview in a slightly oversized sweatshirt with ‘PORTO’ embroidered on the front, so I decided to pay homage to him and make my own version.

The sweat comes in a slightly lighter 450gsm fabric which is better suited to wearing in spring, summer and autumn. The fabric is snug and has a really nice drape to it which makes it feel a little more elegant than other sweatshirts. The Deco features our chunky rib at the cuffs, hem and neck like always. Speaking of the neck, it is nice and high like all of our sweatshirts, because no-one likes a droopy neckline.

The sweatshirt features a two-part side panel for extra movement where you need it the most. When you get yours, take a look at the cuff… the underarm stitching flows straight into the cuff. It is magic and it made Anabela almost fall out with us! Luckily she came around to the idea in the end and we couldn’t be happier with it. For the Deco, we have updated the embroidery in comparison to the chenille embroidery of the previous super-heavy style. This time around, we have chosen a ‘tackle twill’ style, similar to Deco’s sweatshirt and because all my favourite US Army surplus sweatshirts featured this too… it washes better also.

As if that wasn’t enough, these sweatshirts feature our tags which have peppermint seeds in them – plant the tag in your garden and they will grow into peppermint plants. They will keep your garden smelling fresh alongside you looking fresh in your new sweatshirt.

The fit is a little looser than previous sweatshirts that we have made in Portugal, because these have been designed for you to wear a flannel shirt or cotton shirt underneath them, although they also look just perfect with a t-shirt underneath. We have also increased the measurements across the chest and stomach for some extra room, just in case you accidentally put this in the tumble dryer… please don’t. So if you want the same fit as your previous super-heavy sweatshirts, we do recommend going down a size, however if you want a little extra room and for it to fit as we intended, go for your normal size.

These sweatshirts are expertly made for us in Portugal by Anabela, Filipe and the rest of the gang. In fact, we like what they do so much, we created a little video about them and the making of our sweatshirts, which you can watch below. Sweatshirts with this level of design, fabric quality, manufacture and finishing are usually well over £150 but we are still committed to fair pricing and getting as many people as possible into our lovely sweatshirts.

Made in Portugal by experts in their craft, manufactured from a beautiful fabric, wonderful details and a relaxed fit. Sounds good to me.
