Shorts are always difficult to get right and searching for the perfect pair of shorts seems to take so long that by the time you have them on your lower torso, summer is over. So we went back into the TRiCKETT archives, found the original pair of Culver shorts, found what we did and didn’t like about them and then made a new and improved style called…the Culvershorts… the space (or lack of) between words makes all the difference.
As with all things clothing, we start with the fabric. This is made and dyed especially for us meaning that you can’t get it anywhere else. The fabric is a 98% cotton and 2% elastane mix in order to give you the comfort and durability of cotton, but you can also be safe in the knowledge that you can have that extra pint and there will be some extra wiggle room across your stomach. It is also surprisingly useful for when your lilo goes astray and you need to walk across a load of rocks to retrieve it. No-one wants to see your Euro ’96 underwear through ripped shorts!!!
The shorts are finished with a treatment to make them feel worn-in for a slightly more relaxed feel too. We wanted this pair of shorts to be the kind of thing that you can wear all day and all night rather than having to go to the hotel room to keep changing. Swimming shorts are nice, but can look a bit informal at that fancy restaurant you booked. Cargo shorts have loads of storage, but can look a bit silly worn with the wrong top. With our Culvershorts, you are free to go from the beach to the bar without a second thought.
As we always do with our shorts, we have made the pocket linings extra exciting. This season, we have gone for a tonal camo pocket lining to make you feel like Action Man, but without shouting too loudly about it. These shorts are just as happy jumping out of a plane without a parachute as they are doing the Macarena. These shorts come in our classic Blackpool Sea colour way which is a navy blue that suits everyone. Navy blue is the most versatile of colours and this particular fabric just seems to get better and better, wash after wash.
Two front pockets, two back pockets (one buttoned), zipped fly and a just above the knee fit. I mean, what more do you need? Get ready summer, these legs are coming for you!

All orders are packed by us, sent via our local Post Office and processed by our long-time friend Shafiq. Next Working Day is Monday - Friday only. If your order is placed after 4pm on a Friday or over the weekend this will be dispatched on the next working day and due for the delivery the following working day after that.
Customers have 14 days from the day they receive their parcel to return it back to us. To be refundable, all products must be completely unworn and unwashed, and must be returned in their original condition. All international orders are final, no refunds, exchanges or credit notes.
