Emmett’s of Suffolk Wooden Tea Caddies

A few weeks ago we went on a research trip to Suffolk to speak with some of our lovely suppliers. Whilst driving through the wonderful Suffolk countryside we happened to cruise past a beautiful looking shop called Emmett’s. We opened the door and it was like going back in time to how shops looked when my Granny was a lass. They are famous for making some of the best ham and bacon in the whole country and even smoke it over beech wood in the back garden… genuinely.

However, the thing we loved the most was their Sri Lankan loose leaf tea in these amazing soft wood boxes. Mark (the owner) told us that he has been buying this tea for years and the artwork on the sides is done by a local Sri Lankan artist who was imagining what British tea parties looked like back in the day.

The tea comes in two flavours, English Breakfast Tea and Earl Grey Tea. Both pack a pretty big punch and both look amazing on a shelf as well as a gift. There is 200g of tea in each caddie and it comes sealed for extra freshness and as if that wasn’t enough, you can enjoy a proper TRiCKETT Tea Time by getting a half price tea pot when you buy any of our teas.
